Sox and Martin switched from Mercury to Plymouth for 1965 because, believe it or not, Mercury would only give them one company street car, Buddy Martin wanted two, one for each of them, the genius at Ford Motor Company said no. So Buddy called Chrysler, who was after them to switch, and agreed right away for two company cars, the rest is history. Mopar fans owe someone at Ford a big THANK YOU.
